bought this toothbrush holder for the older oral-b toothbrushes it did not fit them as its for the newer type, however had no problems with the company exchanging it for the type i wanted. nice toothbrush holder for the correct toothbrush.

I was at the dentist for my regular check up and we were talking about my gums being a bit sensitive and sore in places. One of the things my dentist asked about, was whether I had changed the heads on my electric toothbrush?

So I was delighted to see that Amazon stocked these replacement heads and that there was a sensitive set. I have been using this toothbrush for several years now and as well as finding it very convenient, it has defintely had a beneficial effect for me - but I suspect that I haven't chaged the heads frequently enough, given my dentist's advice.

I put one of these on and it immediately felt kinder to my gums and I felt able to spend longer and make sure that I had reached all the necessary places. The bristles feel softer, but comparing results there is no less of a cleaning effect. I will continue to use these and would recommend them highly. I intend to change them more regularly as well!

(Update) I have been using these heads now for about a year and they have become my preferred choice - recommended!

My teeth have recently been made very sensitive after a 4 year old jumped on my knee, missed and clunked me in the mouth with her head. Apparently 4 year old heads are harder than ahem-year old teeth! I now have cracked enamel on my front teeth and a painful jarring sensation in my mouth (my dentist tells me that this will settle down, but that in the interim I need to use products for sensitive teeth).

Three cheers for these lovely, soft little brush heads and the well-designed Braun Oral-B system that allows them to interchange perfectly with my regular floss-action/Precision Clean brushes. Although the bristles are significantly softer (and less painful on my jarred teeth) than my usual brush heads, these Sensitive Clean heads provide excellent cleaning power without abrading.

Got an Oral-B brush on advice of my dentist and have noticed a real difference since I've been using them. these brushes are the softer version and are ideal for sensitive teeth. I have just had some periodontal surgery and really appreciate this softer feel while my gums heal.
As my dentist said, the best oral health gadget you can get, and if you have sensitive teeth,had some painful work done that has left your mouth tender, or just like a softer touch, these are a must.

I didn't buy it for me. I bought it for my girlfriend, but she said it's a good epilator and she has nothing bad to say about it. However, if you don't live in the UK you have to bear in mind the fact that the power strip may not be compatible in your country and that's a big problem. It happened to her.

As a long time tranny I know all about hair removal and I have owned lots of epilators. If I only had one this is it. Braun are the best and this one is very efficient. Cordless ones are convenient in the bathroom but they lose power quickly so you end up using them plugged in anyway. The wet/dry ones wont let you use them plugged in for safety reasons and using them wet makes no difference, so I wouldn't bother with them. All epilators hurt when you first use them, you have to be brave and persevere, a drink or two helps! Eventually they become bearable but you will always get a temporary rash and itching after use, this wears off in 2-3 hrs, so at bedtime is best! Oh,you also might like to know that after years of using these things a lot of my body hair has given up and doesn't grow back! (for instance my armpits).

Hope this helps you honeys, I got sick of reading all the garbage posted by others.

I haven't used an electric shaver for years - preferring a wet shave with a razor. However I thought I would give this Braun a go.
The first thing that confused me was that I expected a "SIlk-epil" type product which was that nasty device that pulls your hair out and hurts - please note that this is just a shaver.

The Braun has 2 options - underarm/ bikini shave or a leg shave setting.

It took me a few times to get used to it (but that is probably because I am not used to using a dry shaver). Once I got used to it I found it quick and easy to use. I did quite like the exfoliating device, it did seem to work quite well and left my legs lovely and smooth.
Underarm shaving was not successful and I gave up in the end and went back to the wet shave. However I did continue to use the Braun for leg shaving. The results are quite good for an electric shaver but did find that the shave only lasted 2 (3 at a push) days.

The Braun Silk-epil has a good long battery life once charged. However I was really was not happy that the shaver only had a 2-pin plug for a shaver socket (don't have these everywhere). I would have preferred to have received and additional plug adaptor so that is could be recharged from a standard wall socket.

In summary - good for an electric shaver.

First thing you notice on removal from it's box is how much nicer it looks and so beautifully contoured that it almost vanishes in your palm. It's both elegant and totally feminine with a dash of class for good measure. No tawdry or plasticky looks here and make sure you leave it in view to be admired and provoke discussion.

With the really nice bits out of the way; how does it perform at the business end?

The problem with most shavers - Male and Female is the afterwards or how the skin feels after contact with cutting heads. After-burn is common - irrespective of gender and even with the very best, you're aware of usage for some time afterwards.
Not so with this mini powerhouse. Turn it on to start up a quiet purring sound like a friendly Cat and start work at leisure. It's surprisingly very smooth and effective and most of all combines very close shaving with no after effect.

Overall? Wouldn't be without it now.

Pros: Everything a Woman would want.
Cons: What are those?

I prefer epilators, which I find comfortable to use and effective. This shaver, though, did get the shorter hairs which my previous epilators did not. Plus the dubious-looking plastic attachments -- they resemble those bits of coloured plastic parts that would constitute the translucent bit of a Barbie accessory -- actually do what they're supposed to do. Shocker, considering other electricals I've tried in the past. My leg skin was smoother and softer after using this. The hairs growing back might be a teeny bit coarser, but not significantly so.

In all, a pretty good shaver.
